A QUARTER OF THE WAY:
Another day, another weigh-in...I lost .5 of a pound this week bringing the official total to 25 pounds. This might come as a surprise but I'm very happy with the .5! Considering for at least half the week was lying flat on my back and the other part was just slowly walking as part of the recovery program, it turned out okay. It's still going in the right direction and I know there will be further road bumps along the way. I like to rely on the lessons my mom used to give my brother and I, she was so wise. She would simply say "cheer up...the worst is yet to come" . She was always the optimist in the family. Just kidding, the secret is not to get discouraged and just keep on plugging away.
The poor Sarge wasn't feeling well yesterday...she had a massive headache all day. I'm finally wearing her down! I sometimes have this affect on people, I call it a gift, others call it a curse.
I've been able to do some walking on the treadmill over the last two days...okay it wasn't an actual walk per say. I don't even think I could call it a stroll...maybe lumbering is the best way to describe my time on the treadmill. It's a good thing they have handles on each side, i use it like a walker! I also have been using my new knee brace. It's great until it starts to slip and the brace becomes more like a splint! So again back to Barnacle Bill, all I need is an eye patch and a parrot on my shoulder! I wouldn't mind the rum though.
Random thought, everybody wants to go to Heaven but nobody wants to die...interesting.
WARNING, WARNING! This is not a test, I repeat this is not a test! White legs (normal size) seen in Bodilogix. Should you encounter such a sight please report it to the nearest tanning booth. Because of the slippage of the knee brace I've had to resort to wearing shorts during my workouts. These legs haven't seen a summer in 50 years! Hopefully my shapely legs won't distract the ladies from their work out routines...being this good looking can be a hindrance at times.
Yesterday the Sarge had a thought (it was a good day), she wanted to learn how to play golf. I think all that does is ruin a good walk! Actually, maybe she said I should play golf?! Could she be seeking relief from her headache?
That's enough of my ramblings for today.
"May the saddest day of your future be no worse then the happiest day of your past"
Somebody wise and thoughtful said that...so that excludes me!
