The Great Escape:

Today is Thursday which means it's time for the weigh in...I lost 2.5 pounds this week which means my total loss so far is 15 pounds. Only 85 more pounds to go...if you say it quickly it sounds better.

I read the Sarge's blog today and found it quite funny...she must take her happy pill after I leave! I had no idea she could be so witty and entertaining...maybe the punch line looses it's meaning when she barks it at me??

I was going to give you the run down on my routine but the Sarge did a terrific job in outlining what I do everyday. You would almost think she knew what she was doing! The last workout she had me do some pretty descriptive movements like the "Sumo Squat", the "Plank" and the "Crab". She also mentioned a "diaper"...these workouts are starting to sound a little kinky to me! Are we working out or are we working on some deep, dark , problematic psychosis that she's trying to free herself from!?

The knee is still a big issue...oh the pain. I was able to work through the pain this morning when I was on the treadmill but the damn thing went out on me when I was in the shower! There I was stuck in the shower, couldn't put any weight on it and of course the tiles are slippery because of the water. I felt like MacGyver trying to figure out an escape! So, I'm butt naked (there's a visual, hope I didn't ruin lunch) water running and thinking of my options...they weren't many. I was beginning to understand what a beached Beluga whale feels like... I became one with nature, again. Fortunately (did you know you can still sweat while in the shower) after a few minutes some strength returned to my knee and I was able to hobble around and get dressed. Oh happy days! Where were those Greenpeace guys when you need them?!

Another thought about the weigh in today...I have to admit I was a little disappointed in the amount. But, it's way too early to get discouraged, that will come further down the road.

The quote of the day..."Thought is the sculptor who can create the person you want to be". Henry David Thoreau.

I'm outta here!
