AND...CHRISTMAS IS OVER:
Another Christmas is over. You wait all year for it and then the next thing you know it's over in a blink of an eye. I've decided that I'm not going to weigh-in again until Thursday January 07th, 2010, giving myself a little break. Having said that, I'm still sticking to my game plan of what and when I'm going to eat. For example... (I started this blog the day before Christmas, there has been a change of plans! I pigged out on the 24th and 25th and I didn't feel good at all! I felt so crappy I've adjusted my plans, it's gone from 5 days to just 2...I'm done, no more crap in my system! It wasn't worth it at all. I had shortbread, chocolate, toffee and chips with dip. Oh, and also pop, diet of course. I think my system was in overload and didn't appreciate it. So, I'm done with it, healthy eating for the rest of the holidays).
Artificial Intelligence is no match for natural stupidity!
New Years Eve is upon us with hope of old challenges coming to fruition and new challenges to keep focused and stimulated. Of course the old challenges are still being aggressively engaged, that being the 100 pounds and the 100 km hike. I've added some new stuff to the mix, keeps things exciting. During 2010 I intend to participate in the Police Fitness Test. Actually not just participate but to pass the damn thing! The other new challenge is to run in a half marathon. Okay, maybe run isn't the correct description, how about shuffle a half marathon. I've already picked the one out, the Picton Marathon that is being held on October 03, 2010. I'll be taking the short cut (half marathon) which adds up to being 21.2 km's. I told the Sarge about the latest crazy idea and she's going to join in. She doesn't even agree with running but she's coming on board. I'm not going to make a habit of running in this kind of thing but i think it is something that I could strike off my bucket list (hopefully it doesn't end up being the last thing I strike off). So far I have a few people that are willing to join the Sarge and I, Old Dave (Hughes), Rhonda Cunningham and that great legal beagle Greg Kay. It was actually Greg that kind of instigated the idea. There's a few people sitting on the sidelines thinking about it...hopefully they can join in. If you would like to join this group of non-runners in this crazy idea then just let me know, more the merrier or misery likes company...your choice!
Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to a lack of alcohol!
Just thinking about the 100 km hike again, I'm trying to convince my brother Jim to join in the fun, even if it's just the final 40 km's...he's pondering it. My son Richard intends on joining me for the whole 100 km's...good, he can push me in the wheel chair!
On Thursday's blog I'll recap my 2010 goals and also I'll detail the inches lost so far.
Big Dave out!
