NOTHING LIKE THE SUPPORT OF FRIENDS AND TRAINER:
Just another random observation about the Sarge...last week she asked me how tall I was? I told her I was 5'7". She then commented that must be with your shoes on! Now isn't that nice, really supportive trainer! All this time i thought she was supposed to be....wait for it...an "athletic support"....oh the laughter! Where do i come up with this stuff?!
Not sure if I mentioned this before, I've progressed to now doing "dips" on the machine. Good work out for the chest. Anyways the Sarge said i should be good at this...finally a compliment was coming! I asked her why? She said because i was a dip...she slapped her knee and started laughing. How may times have i mentioned about going to therapy in this blog?!
Here's a pearl for you..
." There are many good reasons for drinking. One has just entered my head -
If a man doesn't drink when he's living,
How the Hell can he drink when he's dead?"
Can't argue with that logic.
On Saturday I had a another training day with the Sarge. She introduced me to a new exercise, you lay flat on your back on a bench. You then raise your legs and bend them to make a table. Then you put a ball over your head and then bring it forward and place the ball on the "table" and back and forth. First of all I knew this was going to be a problem when I have to start building furniture with body parts! Is this a gym or Ikea?! I also couldn't get the ball to stay on the "table" all the time so it would roll down my legs at a high rate of speed almost breaking my nose. The Sarge said she was going to get me a goalie mask...how sweet. I survived the exercise, that's all I' m going to say about it.
Suffered another injury this past week...I blew out a butt muscle. That's right, my left cheek feels like one big bruise! I think it happened during the one legged press, but I'm not positive. The Sarge will monitor the situation...that means she's watching my butt!
I attended a Halloween Dance on Saturday that was being hosted by "The Classics ", they're great band playing a lot of classic rock songs. Anyways I was very proud of myself, bowls of chips were in abundance and goodies on the table and not to mention the beer that everyone was drinking. I stuck to water and I also had some almonds that I had put in my pocket for emergencies. Getting back to the band for a minute....they ran a 50/50 draw and the proceeds went to the Northumberland Services for Women...$50 for the cause! Way to go guys!
Question....Can you cry under water?
Big Dave...Peace out!
